Jim Horning joins Seekers in a Lead Role

JimTransmissions From Atlantis Entertainment in association with Brazen Wench Productions, LLC is proud to announce we have reached agreement with the talented actor Jim Horning to play the starring role of Jason in the upcoming web-series Seekers of the Lost Worlds.

Like Indiana Jones and National Treasure before, Seekers follows two unlikely adventurers who are set on a quest to find the lost continent of Atlantis after receiving an ancient tablet said to provide the clues to finding the lost world. The Seekers travel the globe looking to put together the clues and prevent the evil Clarius from getting there first.

Horning takes over the role of Jason, one of the main two adventurers in the show, replacing JC De La Torre, who left to focus on Writing, Directing and Production of the project.

He’s an experienced actor with 12 features, one tv series as well as work with stage and commericals.

Horning was born in the Elizabeth, New Jersey to Dorothy Murray and Jerry Horning. The youngest of four children, Jim spent most of his life between both New Jersey and Florida. It is no surprise to family and friends that Jim knew he would be an actor since the age of five, especially since he could often be found creating and practicing his own scripts or acting out entire pieces while playing every character.

Interestingly enough, music caused a bit of a detour as Jim’s classically trained bass/baritone allowed for him to perform his original material at festivals and shows in the late 90s and early 2000s. Turning his attention once again toward acting, Jim began to find increased work in modeling which eventually led to his being in front of the camera.

With his unique look (due in part to a mixed heritage including Irish, Scottish, German, Italian and American Indian) Jim is often cast in very diverse and varying roles. Be sure to look for meaningful and intense work from this very unique talent.

Seekers of the Lost Worlds Casting Call

UPDATE: ALL ROLES HAVE BEEN FILLED! Thanks for the tremendous interest!

So get this, Rita an I have fired ourselves. Yep, that’s right – we fired ourselves as lead actors, can you believe it?

Seriously though, we realized quickly that being both in front and behind the camera is tough on the most experienced directors. For filmmakers like ourselves, involved in just our second production – its nigh impossible to pull off. Because of that we are recasting our lead roles of Jason and Rita.  Don’t worry, Rita and I will pop up somewhere in the series as an extra or a Stan Lee cameo.

Both of us are thrilled with this decision as our passion truly is the work behind the camera.

In addition to casting the male and female leads, we’ll also be casting two day/player extra roles. Both roles will on screen.  Day rates for the leads is $50 (we could consider a small amount of negotiation if your reel is truly exceptional) and day players/extras are not compensated. Craft services will be provided.

As always, please be advised this is a non-union gig. Actors applying for any of these roles should be in the Orlando or Tampa Bay, Florida area (locals only), provide head shots and their actor reels to
